Soooo.... You may have been flipping through channels or a comercial has come on for video... good girls gone bad? This lesson is about testimonies gone bad.... we can give a bad testimony. Testimony does not mean that it automatically is a God send... we have to make our testimony through His guidance one that we can be proud of.
I origonally was going to show old teastimonies today (remember the "Old" testiment) but as I was studying these scriptures my focus got changed. I again wanted to share with everyone my daily studies and obviously they will at times be led in differant directions that origonally assumed they would go. This is again why we are to keep our hearts and minds open to continually study for the truth. If we have such a closed mind we will miss things alongthe way, and I am truely one that knows that lesson quite well.
Mic 6:3 O My people, what have I done to you? And in what have I made you weary? Testify against Me! Can we give a false testiment in the heat of the moment with the slip of the tongue? Of course we can. Will we at times act as though Christ and His word means nothing to us? I can say daily I have to watch my language, daily I have to try and have a possitive demeaner, ask my kids I'm not always easy to please and at times I am not Christ like... I have told you all I am not but human and again I deal with difficulties as we all do and I am not perfect... but the more I focus on my studies and walking the walk instead of sitting here and telling you all how good we should be, the stronger I grow. If I did not try daily to walk as close to my God, I would be but a hypocrite. I would be as of the world around me...
Isa 59:12-14 For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us. For our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
in transgressing and lying against Jehovah, and going away from our God, talking cruelty and revolt, conceiving and speaking from the heart words of falsehood. And justice is driven back, and justice stands afar off; for truth has fallen in the street, and right cannot enter.
Yes these are harsh words... we do not fall that low... but we can and could if we did not remind ourselves. If we did not turn to Him in study and prayer. If we continually shunned our brothers and sisters in Christ and continue to throw ourselves deliberatly in the dvils path. Oh I know the devil fights hard for our souls, and the closer we try to walk with God the hardr he fights... and if he cannot come dirctly at us he will come through the people around us. He will throw us daily of course with our surroundings.
Isa 8:15-16 And many among them shall stumble and fall and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the Law among My disciples.
Isa 8:20-22 To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because no light is in them. And they shall pass through it, hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall be, they shall be hungry; They shall rave and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look to the land; and behold, trouble and darkness and gloom of anguish! And they are driven away into darkness.
There is much to be said about light and darkness, and that into itself is a whole other series of daily blogs.... there are many types and anti-types found with in the Bible... wat would be called in the theatre forshadowing. I have much to study on this for myself and we will be lead in the direction as study topics when the time is right. But as for now I'd like to wrap up my lessons on testimonies with these last few verses:
Psa 78:5-7 For He set up a testimony in Jacob, and ordered a Law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their sons; so that the generation to come might know; sons shall be born, and they shall arise and tell their sons, so that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His Commandments;
Let us remember... the testimony we are leaving behind is being watched. If we are led astray it is a sad day, but to lead someone else astray is even sadder. Others watch. Others are easily turned away from religion because they point and say we are hypocrits... let us daily try to remember to also walk the walk... when we fall pick ourselves back up, dust ourselves off, and not worget the works of God. Lean on Him, lean on one another, lean into the grace of God and this wonderful gift, and continue to look towards te prize!

My grandma, pictured here with me while she was still alive, is the most Godly woman I have ever known. Always has been my inspiration and embodyment of who I want to be... in that light I want to share my steps to becoming closer to my God the Father and Savior. I am in no way shape or form perfect as you will come to know... this is a growth process. In God's Love... Heather Weatherman
It has been quite a year for me... opening my eyes to more of an insight into God's Love. I have always been a believer, but have grown to know Him on a more personal level. I hope to learn and grow and provide personal ministry while hoping my life, which is not perfect in any means can be helpful to others as they journey on their path...
