It has been quite a year for me... opening my eyes to more of an insight into God's Love. I have always been a believer, but have grown to know Him on a more personal level. I hope to learn and grow and provide personal ministry while hoping my life, which is not perfect in any means can be helpful to others as they journey on their path...

Hebrews Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Heb 4:1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Definition of this root word fear take from Strong’s
From G5401; to frighten, that is, (passively) to be alarmed; by analogy to be in awe of, that is, revere: - be (+ sore) afraid, fear (exceedingly), reverence.
Alarmed, awe, reverence…

Heb 4:2-3  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Heb 4:4-5  For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Not sure what place is being referred to here, possibly heaven, would love feed back. This however I would slightly like to mention… the seventh day rest here is mention, also in correlation with our ending rest.

Heb 4:6-7  Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:  Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
How lucky to be counted among the believers. I feel sorry for those of faiths who teach Jesus was not the son of God. Again we don’t want to turn away from God or continue to a point where our hearts are hardened and we no longer hear the truth.

Heb 4:8-10  For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
So what are we to be doing until that time? Obviously he is telling us we have work here to do on Earth.

Heb 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
I know that our labor our work is a gift given to us. Without my works I become weak.

Heb 4:12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Problem is we gotta know it… we have to know he word and if we do it will cut to our hearts and keep us sharp. It basically speak for itself =P I just have to open myself up and let God use me as a vessel to spread that word to others so they can enter into that rest also.

Heb 4:13  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
This takes us back to the garden of Eden. Before mankind sinned we had nothing to hide from God. He cannot try to hide from Him now, most of the time I find I am trying to hide from myself.

Heb 4:14-16  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
I Love Grace!!!!! Forgiveness when we don’t deserve it, a gift!
