I was discussing with my son some of the lyrics from one ICP's songs. Besides the foul language I found some lyrics very confusing especially since they now claim to be followers of God.

1st... no more hidden messangers? No need for the reverse talking the truth? We snuck up with subliminal (stuff) around them?

.... now does that even sound like the God we have fellowship with? 1 thess chapter 2 is a great example of uplifting and exhorting one another...  of teaching one another in truth. The devil is cunning, not God. From the begining we see satan take on the form of a serpent and lying, etc...

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 cor 4:2.
(This is how a teacher of Christ is to conduct themselves)

2nd... we are not sorry that we tricked you the carnival will carry on???

Again, is that a very lovingly way to feel about those your trying to take God's word to? If I felt that I had the true way to get to God and my brother was being left behind I wouldn't shrug my shoulder's and walk away.

So we,  being  many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Rom 12:5

If you are a part of me then I don't just say o well.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2 cor 4:3

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?.... we know these lessons!

3rd... walk in and hang with dead caarnival... dead juggalos... etc etc?

God is not dead! God is the God of life... of light.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Jn 3:36

The study I spoke of yesturday needs more time and digging around before I post about it if there is anything to share at all... I will however continue to pray and study on the matter.
