It has been quite a year for me... opening my eyes to more of an insight into God's Love. I have always been a believer, but have grown to know Him on a more personal level. I hope to learn and grow and provide personal ministry while hoping my life, which is not perfect in any means can be helpful to others as they journey on their path...

Listening to the new song in your head

Thinking about the good Samaritan at this moment. I was driving into town to get gas before driving to Bakersfield to pick up my parents. I was right on schedual and I hate being late because my dad hates it when I'm late. I don't like it when he is not pleased with me.

It's 10 pm and I see a couple walking in the drizzly on again off again rainy weather. I thought that's sad they look ok but why are theey walking in this weather on the outskirts of town walking aaway from town.

I get about a block... I am a female driving alone at night not wanting to be late to pick up my dad... but as scary as being a lone female at night is its scarier to think of the baby being out in such poor weather.

You know we think it's a shame that this day and age we have to be so fearful and it's dangerous yada yada yada... hey there were theives and murderers out and about on that road that day the Samaritan stopped to help.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

There will always be danger... and everytime I keep driving I feel sooo guilty. I turn around pull up and you know what? I know them! Get this, they also live out in poodunk Maricopa 7 miles outside of town. They had to bring here baby into Urgent Care and they could not get ahold of their ride so they were going to have to WALK 7 miles home if they couldn't get ahold of anyone.

I took them back... went the other way into Bako enjoying the fact I learned how to use my gos and it rerouted instantainously and not only did I get there right on time... the plane was late so I had time to write my blog tonight! Praise the Lord he is so good!

You know that old song that goes.... just walk on by... my new theme song... don't drive on byiyi dun duh dah da dunt duh dah

  1. That's very cool. Glad you were safe and they got what they needed!! (and added plus that dad didn't get mad:)

  2. Awesome! Good point about us thinking this current day and age is too unsafe for stopping and helping strangers/would-be attackers. Makes you appreciate having family and friends to depend on when you get in a bind too! How sad that they had nobody else to call.
